From the heart of Tuscany, famous for its olive oil, Tuscans Lisetta and Alessio talk about how olive oil is made.

Lisetta and Alessio show us how they like to taste their new, freshly pressed olive oil. Since oil can be used uncooked to dress salads, or used as cooking oil, they call the uncooked oil olio crudo (raw oil).

Lisa's goal in meeting with Oriana is an interview, which Oriana clearly does not want to give. But she tells about when she was a ruthless interviewer herself, in both Italy and the U.S.

Oriana has to argue with her boss to be able to go around the world interviewing women. In 1961, she manages to fly to Pakistan but is frustrated by how hard it is to even talk to another woman.

Oriana writes about the conditions of Muslim women in Islamic countries. In 1967, she goes to South Vietnam, a country being torn apart by war.

Welcome to Saigon! Oriana goes to the press office and meets François Pelou, a war correspondent from France. There is a crisis going on and together, they attempt to head it off.

François Pelou e Oriana Fallaci walk around the streets of Saigon and go into a nightspot where the soldiers spend time with Vietnamese girls. The next day they get some instructions from the military for staying healthy and safe during their stay.

Oriana gets onto a helicopter with the troops. And she ends up in the thick of things.

Oriana manages to interview some soldiers, each with his own experience to share. The song at the end of the segment is "My Girl" written by Smokey Robinson for The Temptations. It was a number one hit song in the mid-sixties.

Oriana goes to see François Pelou and then gets permission to interview the prisoners who had been sentenced to death.

Oriana finally meets General Loan and interviews the three prisoners.

Oriana visits an orphanage and it has a long-lasting effect on her that she will never forget.

Oriana has a difficult conversation with General Loan, but manages to get out of the war zone safely. Back in the present day, she tells Lisa more about her time in Vietnam and about her relationship with François.

Lisa plays a tape that Oriana thought had been destroyed. It takes her back to 1973, when instead of going to Bonn, Oriana decides to go to Athens, where Panagulis has just been freed from five years in prison. She wants to interview him.

Panagulis tells Oriana about his 5 years in prison and how he survived it, including physical and psychological torture. She is riveted to the point of forgetting she has a plane to catch.

Oriana gets a chance to browse around in Alekos' studio before getting some sleep. The next day, she has to call the office and explain why she is still in Athens. Aleko shows up and has a surprise. He wants to enjoy his freedom, but has lots of work to do, too.

Alekos and Oriana have a romantic moment but he is always thinking about his battle against the government. Oriana has her own ideas about how to run a successful resistance.

Alekos is having a hard time convincing others of his ideas. Oriana is under pressure from her boss. There is a lot of tension.

Oriana is having to deal with some major changes in her life that will have a long-lasting effect on her.

After her miscarriage, Oriana goes to work in the Milan office, far from Panagulis. But then she gets some news about Greece that spurs her to action.

Elections are held, and Panagulis becomes a member of parliament. He then has to testify at an important trial for the crimes of the junta.

Alekos figures out how to obtain some important evidence against the government, and discusses things with Oriana on the way to the airport, where she'll take a flight back to Italy.

Oriana tells Lisa about finishing her book, Un uomo (a man), and promoting it, especially in non-democratic countries. She travels to Iran in 1979 to interview the new leader, Ayatollah Khomeini, and to talk to someone who wants to translate her book.
