De Sica, speaking in a heavy Roman accent, plays a skeptical traffic cop who stops Santa and his truck. The truck is full of cellphones intended as gifts. A passerby, Valentino Rossi, sees that it really is Santa and the officer pays dearly for his lack of faith.

Elisabetta Canalis, Italian TV hostess par excellence, appears as an inexperienced taxi driver. She asks the police if she can call them if she gets into difficulty, seeing as how she has an economical cellphone plan.

Christian De Sica goes to speak with his son's Latin teacher. He's annoyed about having to go, until he sees that the teacher is a beautiful woman (Belen Rodriguez). He quickly comes about, passing himself off as an expert in Latin.

For a TV commercial in Germany, Elisabetta Canalis, Italian actress and showgirl, lends her image to "Giotto" chocolates, made by the Italian company, Ferrero.

English names for things are more and more popular in Italy. The original famous Italian cookie Pan di Stelle (star bread) is a rich, caloric, chocolate and hazelnut cookie. The Mooncake is a slightly less caloric, and creamier spinoff.

Ugo and Nora are very much in love, and that's where this story starts. The story of this two-episode mini-series is set in the port city of Trieste in northern Italy. Sposami means "marry me."

The exasperated lawyer comes up with a plan for the dog who happens to be named Uno (one). As they are taking care of this, they each get a phone call and have to hurry off.

Neither Ugo nor Nora has any desire to take Aunt Clo up on her offer, but then reality kicks in.

Aunt Clo shows Ugo and Nora around the shop and house and leaves after giving them a few rules to follow. They run off to the attorney to make sure they can go ahead with their separation.

Nora and Ugo are living in close quarters, and there is a list of eight rules nailed to the back of the door that they are already arguing about.

Nora is having trouble forgetting what Ugo did to her but gets down to work, or tries to. Uno comes back.

As Ugo walks Uno, he goes by his old bookshop. He meets someone he knows, which sets off a little chain of events, giving him a new outlook on things. Meanwhile, Nora is up to her neck in paperwork.

Aunt Clo calls to make sure things are OK with Nora and Ugo, but has a favor to ask. A future bride comes to try on her dress and it looks like she might be getting cold feet.

Ugo has good intentions, but he unwittingly puts the business in a tricky position. Nora rallies but feels Ugo is never around when she needs him.
