While Romano talks with the doctor, he meets Giorgia at the hospital, who is there to assist her hospitalized mother. Meanwhile, at the police station, new clues emerge about a suspect linked to a criminal clan, while Laura and Giuseppe share moments of complicity that lighten the tension of the investigation.

Lojacono pursues and arrests Donato Cuocolo. After attempting to flee and threatening the officers with a brick, he is stopped by Alex Di Nardo. At the police station, the investigators put him under pressure: he risks many years in prison, but he can face a lighter charge if he cooperates.

The police interrogate Cuocolo after the arrest and he tells of having met Lara on the Mergellina waterfront and of having had a casual relationship with her. However, he denies being the father of the child and claims to have an alibi for the night of the murder, suggesting that the culprit could be someone in love with her who was not reciprocated.

The investigation into Lara's death continues, while the police conclude the interrogation of the suspect. Meanwhile Aragona, in order to go out with Irina, promises her that he will find the culprit.

At the police station, lawyer Nubila shows up to offer his financial support for Lara's daughter's medical care, declaring that he has no financial difficulties. During the meeting, he receives a phone call from his wife, who asks for updates on Lara's husband, currently among the main suspects.

Lojacono says goodbye to his daughter at the ferry when he gets a phone call from Laura. Later, he and Romano check out The Blue Moon, where Nazar Petrovic works as a bouncer. They convince him to answer some questions at the police car. Petrovic is worried about losing his job.

Nazar Petrovic, suspected of Lara's murder, is interrogated in the patrol car by agents Lojacono and Romano. The man denies any culpability, tells his story, and provides an alibi that sounds weak. The agents let him go, but Petrovic remains under police surveillance.

The dialogue between Pisanelli and Brother Leonardo alternates between irony and concern: while Giorgio is obsessed with finding a serial killer, the friar invites him to look within himself and take care of himself. Lara's death becomes the symbol of a deeper evil, made of loneliness and selfishness.

A quiet evening among friends at Senatore's house is interrupted by the sudden arrival of the police. Inspector Giuseppe Lojacono continues the investigation into Lara's mysterious life: during the interrogation of her employer, contradictions and details about the woman's past emerge.

Lojacono and Romano interrogate Senatore, trying to verify the solidity of his alibi, while the investigation is practically at a standstill, with little to go on. As Lojacono is making his morning coffee, he gets a disturbing phone call from his ex-wife, Sonia.

Palma begins to lose patience with the Pizzofalcone team, frustrated by the absence of concrete evidence and a network of still uncertain suspects. Meanwhile Lojacono confronts his lawyer, bringing to light personal difficulties, financial problems and the weight of a past that continues to haunt him.

An apparently insignificant detail on the onesie the baby was wearing when found by the dumpster leads Laura to question a version of events related to Lara's death. She and Lojacono go to question Lara's former employers once again.

Laura and Giuseppe go to question Lara's former employers, who are not very cooperative. The issue of embroidery comes up as Di Nardo and Aragona search the premises.

Faced with evidence, Mrs. Nubila has no choice but to confess her involvement in Lara's pregnancy, and how she and her husband took advantage of the girl.

Mrs. Nubila calmly recounts what actually happened, while the investigators listen, incredulous and shocked.
