During the filming of his movie, De Sica leaves the safety of the basilica just once and is caught and questioned by a Nazi General about why the film is taking so long to be shot.

At the same time his crew was cooped up in the basilica and didn't always behave as they should — in fact, tutt'altro (anything but). The narrator also mentions an anecdotal story Fellini told about his experience with the Germans.

As Camilla and Dora try to catch a tram, there is a terrible accident, or at least, it looks like an accident. Meanwhile, at home, Renzo seems to be preparing for an evening out without Camilla and is trying to come up with a plausible excuse. You will probably learn the adverb purtroppo (unfortunately) in this segment!

Imma is having trouble finding the file on Domenico Bruno. True, it dates from fifteen years previous, but that's no excuse according to Imma. She also attends the commemorative event at Palazzo Lanfranchi, where Bruno's son pays a tribute to his father. Imma's ears perk up.

Later on at headquarters, Aragona has a hard time using appropriate nomenclature for Blacks and people of color as they discuss the case.

Peppe comes out of the operating room where all seems to have gone well. Luigi has a fever and the doctors are discussing the possible causes and what to do about it. Meanwhile Luigi feels he has to try to get out of bed, to prove to his body that he can.
