Maestro Fiore has arrived and introduces himself to the orchestra students. He says he is just like them and wants to feel their music and their energy.

Matteo and other friends show up at Barbara's house, but she hasn't returned yet, so they talk a bit with her mother about the concert without revealing what happened to her daughter. Barbara doesn't take the visit well and asks her friends to leave.

Barbara is aware that she is making all sorts of mistakes, but she counts Domenico as being outside her "diary of errors." All this is expressed in a song she sings.
