Imma interviews Giulio Bruno, the son of the murdered architect, Domenico. Giulio seems forthcoming about what happened with his uncle in Argentina.

Penelope gets some news she shares with Valentina. Imma is upset about Calogiuri's leaving, but throws herself into her work, confronting Bruno's son about his project in Vallone della Femmina.

Imma can't help herself and goes to the office. Diana gives her some important information to mull over. The young people are having a little party for Calogiuri who is leaving for his exam in Rome the next day.

Imma is taking a vacation day, but is she really capable of that? She goes hiking with Pietro but he slowly realizes she has ulterior motives. By chance, they meet up with Ettore Rossetti, the person who originally found the dead body of Domenico Bruno.

Imma is home feeling weakened by recent events. Pietro is very supportive and convinces her to take a day off, something she had never done before.

After Imma talks with Andrea's mother, she seeks out Calogiuri and updates him. He tells her about his coming exam for becoming a marshal and about how things have evolved with Maria Luisa.

Imma goes to Bruno's funeral and Calogiuri goes to Andrea Saponaro's. Imma is approached by a woman on a dark street.

Clearly, Imma has been deeply affected by Andrea Saponaro's suicide. Her solution is to peel a lot of potatoes. The next day, there is a press conference at the prosecutor's office, where Zaza the journalist tries to get a rise out of her with a provocatory question.

Imma is devastated by the news of Andrea Saponara's suicide and her team is trying to be supportive. Then Imma gets a surprise visit from someone who needs to talk to her. It's someone who knew Andrea.

The journalist hanging out at the prosecutor's office thought he had breaking news about Andrea Saponara being a suspect and published it in his Lucania News. Andrea became aware of it and acted.

Andrea Saponara goes with Calogiuri to Imma's office where she questions him. He admits to having known Domenico Bruno and tells her his story.

Imma and Pietro are at a concert of a female saxophone quartet. Calogiuri is studying, but something about the Bruno case comes up.

From the phone records, Imma discovers phone calls received by Bruno but the number doesn't seem to exist. Calogiuri indeed gets a phone call from Paolo in Bari.

Matarazzo and Calagiuri hit a dead end in their first encounter at the University of Bari. Imma finally gets to consult the files associated with Bruno's disappearance fifteen years prior. Diana asks her for a favor she shouldn't have.

Imma is furious about what she reads in the paper, but her boss tells her to calm down and wait for the trial. She also has to deal with a new police officer with a strong personality, but who is also quick-witted.

Imma assumed that no one had done any work all day, but Diana let her know that the staff had actually done somersaults to get the information Imma required. The next day, Imma talks to the architect's son and learns some interesting facts.

Imma finds out she was right about the "accident" being a homicide and goes with Calogiuri to see the architect's ex-wife and son. Calogiuri gives Imma some news she hadn't heard about.

Imma talks to her old friend, Don Mariano, and he shows her the model of the deceased architect's pet project, never completed. Then, along with Calogiuri, Imma goes to the morgue where she is not welcome. Calogiuri's eye proves to be invaluable.

Imma is having trouble finding the file on Domenico Bruno. True, it dates from fifteen years previous, but that's no excuse according to Imma. She also attends the commemorative event at Palazzo Lanfranchi, where Bruno's son pays a tribute to his father. Imma's ears perk up.

Imma discusses the dynamics of the case with the coroner. She also talks to the man who discovered the body. The subject comes up at dinner with her in-laws, and the TV is on so she watches the news broadcast about the case, too. Valentina has a new friend named Penelope.

As we begin a new episode, Valentina is in Latin class. Her mother, Deputy Prosecutor Imma Tataranni, has arrived at a new crime scene, and is exhibiting her usual, unique, and somewhat bizarre personality traits.

The pizza party ends up just being Palma and Ottavia who make the best of it. Palma would like them to be on a first-name basis, but he is Ottavia's boss and she has trouble with that. He talks about dare del tu, which means addressing someone informally instead of dare del Lei, which implies addressing someone formally. It can still mean using someone's first name, but the pronouns (and conjugations) change.

After working on the case together, the members of the team go home to deal with their personal lives. Not everyone is enthusiastic about going out for pizza with the chief.

There's a press conference announcing the success of the investigation. Rather than singling out Lojacono and Aragona, Palma gives credit to his entire team, as well as to Dr. Piras.
