Dafne and Luigi are dealing with the aftermath of Dafne's mother's death. Meanwhile, Dafne's uncle and aunt arrive.

Dafne's father prowls around the house at night with a flashlight. She doesn't get it. She likes running water, which he doesn't get. They are each trying to deal with their grief.

Dafne is trying to get her father to do more than just lie around. She also has some ideas about changing around the furniture.
