Di Nardo and Romano decide to check out the apartment across the street, without much hope of success. That evening, there is news on TV about the murder and both Lojacono and the district attorney tune in from their respective apartments.

The DA has asked Lojacono to meet her for coffee. They joust a bit, but the DA has seniority and gets some answers from him.

The "burglary gone wrong" is in the news and is not reflecting well on the city of Naples. The commissioner has summoned Palma and Lojacono to talk about this and makes a surprising decision.

Lojacono, Aragona, and DA Piras go back to the crime scene to have a better look at the victim's collection of glass balls. The DA and Lojacono exchange ideas about the murder, but then he and Aragona have to go back to the station house.

Now that the case is in their hands, Lojacano and Aragona go back to the notary to ask more questions. They get some answers Di Vincenzo failed to obtain.

Lojacono and Aragona interview 2 of the notary's employees, while Romano and Di Nardo go back to the mysterious girl's apartment, this time with a warrant.

The architect is not happy about his visitors from the police and is on the defensive about Nunzia, the girl. As he is having dinner at his usual spot, Lojacono gets a phone call from the PM.

Aragona meets up with Marina outside of the workplace and she feels freer to give up some information. Then Lojacono and Aragona go to see the notary again. He is not alone.

Di Nardo and Romano go to see Nunzia's mother. She and her two sons are surprised by the visit and are on the defensive but one name keeps coming up as the policemen question them. At headquarters, Pisanello is studying a series of alleged suicides he is suspicious about.

Alex goes to see Nunzia by herself, to see if she can help her, but she gets an unexpected reaction from the girl.

After work, Aragona and Lojacono walk towards their respective homes together. Aragona says he is home, but is he? Pisanello goes home and makes tea, all the while telling someone (probably his wife?)about his day. Lojacono goes home and gets a phonecall from a certain Sonia...

Pisanelli goes to see Friar Leonardo and remarks how peaceful it is there in the cloister. Lojacono and Aragona go to see the head of Forensics and learn some new details about the evidence.

Forensics recovers an email that opens up some new avenues in the investigation. Lojacono and Aragona go see the notary at his workplace. Di Nardo's parents want to meet her boyfriend.

We get a glimpse of Francesco's home life in this segment. He has a lot of pent-up anger and doesn't have it very well under control. Lojacono and Aragona are following Miss Russo and have a little conversation about patience.

Lojacono has a conversation with Iolanda Russo and learns some new details. Later he has a meeting with his superiors.
