There's a class performance, Camilla is late, and the principal is not happy about it all. Viola and Allegra have a peek at the audience before the curtain goes up, and they each reach some conclusions.

During the show, Allegra sees that her father is no longer in the audience and runs off the stage. Her mother comes to see her in the dressing room.

Allegra finds her father in the bathroom, motionless. The police are on their way, and Camilla is already at work trying to figure things out.

Reporters and photographers descend on the school, followed by the police. Camilla tells Gaetano her version of what happened, and the coroner shows up to give his first impression about the murder.

Renzo goes to a sporting goods store for shoes for Camilla and by chance, Pamela is there, too. Gaetano looks at the photo Camilla took and then questions the driver.

Renzo and Pamela make a bet as to whether Camilla will like her new sneakers. Gaetano questions Nic Bianco's driver in the presence of Camilla. Viola and Vittorio discuss their relationship.

Renzo and Camilla each have secrets from the other: Camilla took Livietta out for fast food, and Renzo is trying to learn to dance the Merengue from a video with Livietta. When Camilla comes home, she shares the news of the murder with Renzo.

Renzo gives Camilla her new, red sneakers. At school, she sees something unusual from the break room window. Allegra, the daughter of the murder victim, has come to school, but she is hurting and Camilla talks to her.

Allegra talks to Camilla about her relationship with her mother and why she is so upset. Back at headquarters, there is some news reported by Torre. As usual, he tries to use an expression and gets it wrong. The actual expression is qui gatta ci cova, meaning literally, "The cat is sitting on something, covering it up." In other words, something is going on that we don't know about.

Gaetano is not one hundred percent convinced of Camilla's version of how the murder occurred. Renzo goes to a Merengue lesson but gets a surprise while dancing with Pamela, the instructor.

Torre and Berardi found some useful information at Nic Bianco's villa. At home, Camilla is cooking but is missing an ingredient and goes to see her mother.

Renzo is in a good mood as he arrives home from his day and he decides to deliver the roses left for his mother-in-law in person. Camilla is arriving at the apartment with the eggs she needs to make crepes.

At the funeral for Nic Bianco, his daughter Allegra breaks down and seeks out her professor for comfort. Allegra's best friend Viola didn't come to the funeral, and Camilla goes to see her to find out why.

The DA wants results and is impatient. Berardi gives her some good reasons not to be so pessimistic. Torre and Ferrari show up with some fresh reports, and of course, Camilla shows up to tell Berardi about what Viola said.

Torre and Berardi go to see Nic Bianco's wife and obtain some new information about Cappellini. Camilla and Renzo go running and Camilla tries to get him to get some strange ideas out of his head.
