From the squad car, Romano sees something he wants to investigate and has his colleague pull over. Lojacono and Di Nardo go to see the victim's "Mami" to ask her some questions.

Barbara has a lesson with another pianist, in which they play a piece for 2 pianos. She is clearly ill at ease with the other pianist. Later, Matteo finds her notebook on the floor in the hall and tries to engage her in conversation.

Renzo is at home with Livietta and he is helping her with a project for school. Camilla goes to help Gaetano with the recognition of the centurion, but she will also need Gaetano's help later.

Don Michele tells Lojacono and Di Nardo why he already knew Angela when he was in Caserta. The two shared a secret activity about which Lojacono wants to know more.

After the heated confrontation with Marioni, Matteo leaves class and goes to see the director who shows understanding and suggests that Matteo doesn't have to be in the orchestra. When he leaves the office he runs into a classmate, a percussionist.

Gaetano asks Camilla for help in identifying the centurion who found the girl's body. At home, Renzo is working on the competition and has a surprising conversation with his colleagues.

After the benediction, Ottavia stops outside the church to talk to a few of the parishioners. She learns a few new details about Don Michele. Back at headquarters, she does some research and shares the results with her colleagues.

Maestro Marioni asks Matteo what he wants to do with his life in music and is not satisfied with the answer he receives. almost yelling, Marioni urges Matteo to do more than merely give it a try.

At school, Alex and Aiello are arguing because Aiello wants Alex to delete some photos from his phone, but Alex doesn't want to. With Camilla's arrival in class, the argument calms down, but the teacher would like to know why Aiello got so upset.

Outside school, Sara meets up with Gigi her boyfriend. She has taken Matteo with her to have some company, since the discussion isn't going to be pleasant. As they go back into the building, Maestro Marioni appears, looking for Matteo.

While the investigations continue, Renzo has an unpleasant surprise that undermines his peace of mind as a husband, and even a competition he must participate in doesn't give him peace.

Alex has a conversation with her father, who hopes for a future for his daughter that will never actually happen. Meanwhile, Pisanelli is increasingly determined to catch the serial killer.
