Commissioner Palma is quite angry with Lojacono for disobeying his express orders not to handle any homicides. Meanwhile, a call comes in from a peculiar old lady and two agents go to check out her story.

The morning of the operation has arrived and the nurse goes through a checklist with Luigi to make sure he is ready before being taken to the operating room.

Alberto becomes a hero by bringing his kids some pencils. They start to feel the thrill of simply being able to write their own names.

During the show, Allegra sees that her father is no longer in the audience and runs off the stage. Her mother comes to see her in the dressing room.

Lojacono has a careful look at the corpse and the surrounding area and draws some conclusions. His superior shows up and naturally wants to put Lojacono in his place, sending him right back to the station house, with the district attorney looking on.

The prison director refuses Alberto's request for writing materials, so he takes matters into his own hands, and learns a thing or two from his pupils, too.

There's a class performance, Camilla is late, and the principal is not happy about it all. Viola and Allegra have a peek at the audience before the curtain goes up, and they each reach some conclusions.

At the police station, Lojacono takes a phone call about a homicide. The team has been instructed expressly not to take on anything other than ordinary business. This is decidedly not ordinary business, but Lojacono is no ordinary policeman, apparently.

Alberto and the kids at the reformatory all lie down on the ground to see the clouds better. They let their imaginations run wild. Alberto takes Ida and Alda to their new home.

Camilla oversleeps, and Livietta comes to the rescue, but Renzo is already out, jogging with Potti.

Special agent Aragona read the files on all his colleagues and relates his findings to Lojacono. And we find out what Lojacono did, too. We also discover where he has his meals.

Ricotta can't believe his eyes when Manzi comes to take him back to his inmates. The kids are incredulous, too, and Manzi, having gained their respect, can finally begin teaching.

All that remains is to take Bibì back to her owner. Nothing easier, right?

Detective Lojacono meets his team and learns why they talk about the "bastards." He also learns what the future holds for the police station.

Alberto Manzi takes an exam, getting a high grade. He takes the opportunity to express his ideas about teaching troubled young people. There's trouble at the reformatory, and Alberto steps in.
