Berardi is back in the Rome office and there's a celebration. But since there's also a dead person at the Colosseum, the celebration comes to an abrupt end and Berardi and Torre rush to the scene of the crime. The class trip also comes to an abrupt end.

Marioni tells the orchestra what he has in mind to help Matteo get integrated into the orchestra. The students involved begin to get organized by sharing their phone numbers.

Lojacono surprises Laura at dinnertime. Di Nardo has dinner with Rosaria, who has an invitation for her. At the dinner table, Giorgia has something to discuss with Francesco.

Imma goes to the Foundation where Don Mariano had his office. She and the team look for the tablet and talk to the young man who helped out there. They also talk to the housekeeper Ilona, who says there were plenty of people out to get Don Mariano.

Camilla and her class are on a field trip to the theater and she is trying to hand out the tickets, but lots is happening outside, involving the other teacher, an out-of-work actor, the students, some picture-taking, and some trouble down the street.

During the orchestra rehearsal, a player makes a mistake and Marioni, the conductor, doesn't hesitate to press the point, in his usual cruel manner, that an orchestra is not a democracy.

The young volunteers talk about how they met and what they were doing the night of the murder. Aragona and Romano come back to headquarters with a photo they found at the victim's home.

Imma is still worried about her husband ending up in the hospital when, back at work, Diana has bad news for her. Imma remembers her appointment with Don Mariano, but that's not the worst of it.

At home, there is the usual rush to get ready for school and work. Camilla is running late and is not available to answer a burning question her husband and daughter have for her.

Matteo seems fine but his father and uncle are worried about him. Marioni learns why Matteo is described as fragile and makes some decisions regarding the orchestra.

Lojacono and DA Piras arrive at the scene of the crime and meet Don Michele. The next morning Lojacono goes with Di Nardo to talk to the kids who had been in the parish hall with the victim.

Imma had been dreaming and wakes up to a call from Don Mariano who wants to see her, urgently. But she has another emergency to deal with first.

Sofia goes up to the roof to practice her cello, but ends up singing a song (in English). When Maestro Marioni gets home from an amorous encounter, he watches a video where Matteo's previous violin teacher introduces him and explains his special situation.

Lojacono is on a video call with Marina, his daughter, and her friend Chanel, when he gets a phone call from headquarters and goes to a new crime scene, to see what's what.

Imma appears to be on the psychiatrist's couch, describing a dream, but the situation becomes more and more bizarre and we don't really know what's real and what isn't.
