JAMS is a TV series for teenagers produced by "Stand by me" for RAI Gulp. The protagonists are four kids: Joy, Alice, Max, and Stefano, each with their own passions and strengths, and each with their particular challenges. They are all in their first year of scuola media (middle school), thus undertaking the difficult transition from childhood towards adulthood.

It's time for the Halloween party. Joy and Alice show up together, Max is by himself, clearly down in the dumps, and both Melissa and Joy are wondering why Stefano is absent.

L'interrogazione is the word for the teacher asking students questions about what they have learned in class and what they have studied at home. There are students who want to be called on and others who try to hide, and pray they won't be called on.

Poor Max is called on to talk about the Iliad. Whatever he doesn't know, Gian Maria does know and raises his hand constantly.

Alice is concerned about Max. Gianmaria knows very well that Max is in trouble and makes a proposal. In cooking class, Joy
decides she doesn't feel well and leaves.

Joy and Stefano have a brief conversation in the park. He doesn't push. Michelino shows up wanting to go over to the lawyer's house with Joy. The cooking team practices their new recipe at the bistro.

Max meets up with Gianmaria to give him the recipe, but is Gianmaria being straight with him? Joy and Alice have their pyjama party, but it's not much of a party.

Joy has trouble sleeping. Max isn't sleeping either because he is reading! At the cooking contest, Alice notices that Melissa is making the same recipe as the JAMS team.

Professor Capuana is one of the judges of the lasagna contest. He notices right away that two of the dishes look an awful lot alike. Later on, at the park, the JAMS have an uncomfortable discussion.

After Stefano's decision to leave the Jams, there's a risk that the kids might lose the contest final. Alice is agitated, but Max tries to calm her down by telling her that everything will be fine.

Joy received confirmation from Stefano that he no longer wants to participate in the contest. In class, the teacher returns the assignments and compliments all the students. To everyone's great surprise, even Max got a full passing grade.

During the lesson on main courses, Joy seems very distracted and Alice thinks it's because of Stefano. The Jams seem to be in real trouble now that even Max hasn't shown up.

Alice asks Joy to try to talk to Stefano since she likes him, but he's not responding to messages anymore. At the contest, the kids are dealing with a second course, and in the end, the Jams will present a meatloaf.

In the challenge of the second courses, with a twist, the Jams slip to third place. Only the dessert challenge was left, but the final is not yet compromised if they manage to climb back up the rankings.
