We begin a new episode, where Valentina is at school, learning about politics and toxic waste.

Imma goes to where the dead body of Nunzio Festa had been found. She has to deal with the local Carabinieri marshal, who is a bit of a bully. She and Calogiuri go to see the parents of the deceased.

Imma and Calogiuri rummage around in Nunzio's room, and Imma sees a photo: Nunzio's girlfriend. So they go to see her next after asking Nunzio's stepmother some questions.

Imma talks to Milena, without much success, but then she gets a phone call she has to deal with.

Imma, Valentina, and Pietro discuss the event of the day and whether or not Valentina can go to the concert. Imma goes to talk to La Macchia about Carmine Amoroso.

Imma questions Carmelo, Milena's brother, at the station house. Imma treats him with respect, but in the end decides to keep him in custody and he doesn't react well.

Imma has to find a new home-health aide for her mother. Diana is on Imma's back about the class reunion. La Macchia shows up at her office in a huff about Calogiuri. But there's also some good news. Lab analyses have resulted in some new evidence.

Imma and Calogiuri go to see Nunzio Festa's father to find out more about his son. Signor Festa doesn't know a whole lot, but remembers a strange guy Nunzio hung out with sometimes. A certain Manolo is next on their list of people to see.

Imma has a chat with Manolo about Nunzio, who had worked for him for a time. Later, Imma catches up with Milena and tries to get some more information from her.

Imma comes home. Pietro is practicing his sax. Valentina shows up in a rage. Then Imma is reminded of the class reunion dinner... the last thing she wanted to do.

Imma is not exactly enjoying herself at the party, but she does notice something interesting, and possibly pertinent to her case. She encounters the deskmate who replaced Diana way back then.

Imma goes to see her friend Pino at the museum to ask him about the fragments she saw at the reunion. She then goes to the cemetery with her mother.

Imma is in the courtroom trying to get Saverio (from the previous episode) indicted. Later, she meets up with Calogiuri at the office, but there is someone else waiting for her.

Pietro's mother shows up at his house and doesn't hide how she feels about her daughter-in-law. On the way to see Nunzio's parents, Imma and Calogiuri discuss the bank records they were able to obtain.

Poor Pietro is having trouble discussing family problems with Imma, because she is easily distracted by the case she is trying to solve. At the office the next day, she has to deal with her colleagues, something she finds distasteful, and doesn't hide very well.

Milena comes to Imma's office and tells her what she knows. She also makes an effort to remember a detail that might be important to the case.

Imma, Milena and Calogiuri go to the woods where Nunzio had seen the porcupine. Later they have a meeting with La Macchia in Imma's office.

It could be that Imma has found a solution for her mother. Pietro has prepared a delicious dinner, but whether or not his family will be able to enjoy it remains to be seen.

Imma interviews Manolo and learns some interesting new facts. Then she interviews the person Manolo mentioned, someone she has encountered before. This second interview is trickier, and Imma has a hard time.

Marshal La Macchia reports his findings to Imma. Later, she goes to see Father Mariani to discuss an old case that has come to mind.

Father Mariani is not much help to Imma, but tells her to be careful. When she gets home, she gets a taste of what he meant, but is not deterred. Imma seems to be of the opinion that "when the going gets tough, the tough get going."

Antonio Palma has been summoned by Imma, and has been accompanied by Rosario Festa, Nunzio's father. She has some specific questions to ask Mr. Palma, but first has a conversation with Rosario Festa. Later on, she discusses all this with Calogiuri over coffee.

Milena tells Imma about her pregnancy and about how Nunzio reacted to it. They also talk about Nunzios's relationship with his father. Imma and Calogiuri go out to the Festa place to talk to Rosario.

Imma has a difficult but necessary conversation with Rosario there, on his land, with the wind turbines whirring in the background.
