Finally Max manages to get Alice into the Bistro where the surprise party had been organized. After the party, Max meets up with Michelino who mentions the cake left at the lawyer's house.

Ettore wants to make sure Joy isn't talking to her parents about him and uses bullying words with her. She manages to get away and goes to the bistro to meet Stefano. Alice's parents arrive and are shocked to see each other.

Stefano and Joy prepare the cake for Alice and Max makes sure Joy has some ideas for inviting both of the birthday girl's parents. When Max takes Alice to the amusement park, she notices something strange.

The JAMS arrive at school in a rush, where the awards ceremony is already underway. Chef Borghese has just awarded the trophy but asks the winners if they would rather win by challenging the JAMS. Oscar, as captain, decides to continue the competition and they begin.

Marioni is summoned by the principal because he received a warning from Giacomo's parents who hold him responsible for what happened to their son. During rehearsals, the maestro discovers someone who shouldn't be in the hall.

The JAMS are a group of four and without Joy the finales make no sense. Alice, Stefano, and Max go to visit Joy to show her just how important their friendship is and to let her taste the cake they made.

Matteo meets Sofia to whom he confesses being excited about the concert. At Sara's house, Gigi plays for her parents the song he composed for her. Robbo and Chiara unfortunately witness an argument between their parents.

The finals are approaching and Alice, Stefano, and Max record a video of the recipe they have chosen as an appetizer to send to Joy. The JAMS don't want Joy to feel alone and wonder what point there is of participating in the final competition without their friend.

Matteo and his uncle Daniele seem to be very similar in some ways, but perhaps Matteo shouldn't be copying his uncle in every way. Scheggia and Sofia go to eat at their mother's restaurant and tease her a bit.

Alice and her friends know that something serious has happened to Joy, but their parents have only told them to be patient and that their friend will return soon.

During the concert rehearsals, Marioni believes that Barbara hasn't put in enough effort because she has dedicated time to studying philosophy. He therefore decides to exclude her and warns the others not to console her.

Sara goes to talk to Gigi, who is playing his guitar and singing on the street. When Robbo returns home, he finds Chiara upset, who tells him she's gotten into trouble. Barbara, on the other hand, has to face Marioni again at the orchestra rehearsal.

Maestro Marioni listens to Domenico and Barbara play and is very harsh in his criticism of the girl's playing. Despite her friends being supportive of her, Barbara decides to go home to study instead of going out after the rehearsal.

When Marioni gets home, he finds Irene waiting for him in her car. She knows Giacomo had shown up at school. The next morning, there is a rehearsal of the orchestra, followed by the Mozart sonata for two pianos, played by Barbara and Domenico.

New captains, absences, and tensions liven up the competition. The four desserts are being judged, deciding who will go on to the finals. Afterward, the JAMS make a video for Joy to share the results with her.
