Matteo and other friends show up at Barbara's house, but she hasn't returned yet, so they talk a bit with her mother about the concert without revealing what happened to her daughter. Barbara doesn't take the visit well and asks her friends to leave.

Maestro Fiore has arrived and introduces himself to the orchestra students. He says he is just like them and wants to feel their music and their energy.

After being kicked out of Marioni's class, Matteo returns home, where his uncle is waiting to introduce him to Lorenzo. Matteo goes out with Domenico, who tells him some things about Marioni. Meanwhile, something has happened in the group chat.

Matteo is about to leave the rehearsal after his argument with Marioni. Irene is there in the auditorium, having learned about the warning to Marioni, and wants to be there for him. He asks her to stick around.

Matteo stays to play his solo for Marioni, who makes him play without looking at the music. Outside, the others in his group discuss how long they think he will endure Marioni's harsh treatment.

Sara offers to walk Chiara home, and the two have a conversation about how it feels to be visually impaired. At the rehearsal, Marioni expresses his frustration with orchestra's lack of passion in their playing and discusses the significance of performing the Unfinished Symphony.

Marioni is summoned by the principal because he received a warning from Giacomo's parents who hold him responsible for what happened to their son. During rehearsals, the maestro discovers someone who shouldn't be in the hall.

Matteo meets Sofia to whom he confesses being excited about the concert. At Sara's house, Gigi plays for her parents the song he composed for her. Robbo and Chiara unfortunately witness an argument between their parents.

Matteo and his uncle Daniele seem to be very similar in some ways, but perhaps Matteo shouldn't be copying his uncle in every way. Scheggia and Sofia go to eat at their mother's restaurant and tease her a bit.

During the concert rehearsals, Marioni believes that Barbara hasn't put in enough effort because she has dedicated time to studying philosophy. He therefore decides to exclude her and warns the others not to console her.

Sara goes to talk to Gigi, who is playing his guitar and singing on the street. When Robbo returns home, he finds Chiara upset, who tells him she's gotten into trouble. Barbara, on the other hand, has to face Marioni again at the orchestra rehearsal.

Maestro Marioni listens to Domenico and Barbara play and is very harsh in his criticism of the girl's playing. Despite her friends being supportive of her, Barbara decides to go home to study instead of going out after the rehearsal.

When Marioni gets home, he finds Irene waiting for him in her car. She knows Giacomo had shown up at school. The next morning, there is a rehearsal of the orchestra, followed by the Mozart sonata for two pianos, played by Barbara and Domenico.

After the meeting with the psychologist, Matteo meets up with his uncle, who invites him out for un aperitivo (a drink). At the pub, Matteo teases his uncle because the waiter happens to be an ex-boyfriend of his.

Marioni manages to reach Giacomo to tell him that he's sorry for how things turned out but also to encourage him to move on with his life. Matteo goes to talk to the new psychologist but puts up his defenses by saying that he doesn't talk much.
