The men of the town are in the piazza at the bar. Meanwhile, Guia sees Mara in bad shape and offers her some moral support.

Guia's colleague and friend Carola arrives in town. Mara and her online friend keep writing to each other and plan to meet.

Mara is waiting for her blind date, and who shows up but Felice, whom she tells to beat it in no uncertain terms. Meanwhile, Carola talks to her boyfriend by phone. The next day, the chickens get out...

Felice lives up to his word and brings Mara an ice cream cone, but there's a glitch... Carola, trying to get some work done in the farmhouse, meets Dino, who offers her a "glass of wine."

A moment of pleasure. Carola has a glass of wine with Delfo, Guia accepts a ride with Renzo, and Felice lives up to his name [felice means "happy"], getting a chance to drive Guia's car.

There are several couples in this segment, in various stages of breaking up. Some, but not all of them are even coming to their senses.

Mara is bummed out, for sure. Felice too! Delfo, on the other hand, shows a side of himself no one has seen before.

Guia has a flash during the fashion show she and Carola attend. Pino puts on a great show for his friends from town.

It's a magical evening in the town piazza: music, dancing, lanterns. Everyone makes a wish.

The people who run a seaside restaurant in the province of Marsala describe the place as a little corner of paradise with its pure, curative water and sand, and meals served directly in the water. They are used to speaking Sicilian most of the time, so speaking correct Italian is a challenge. But their love for the place, and their typically Sicilian warmth towards visitors come through.

De Sica, speaking in a heavy Roman accent, plays a skeptical traffic cop who stops Santa and his truck. The truck is full of cellphones intended as gifts. A passerby, Valentino Rossi, sees that it really is Santa and the officer pays dearly for his lack of faith.
