The interview with Tiziano Terzani continues. He tells of his capture by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, the dangers to which he was exposed, and how he was able to save himself.

Tiziano Terzani (1938–2004) was an important journalist and writer. This interview, considered to be of historical value, took place during the broadcast of the Swiss television show, Cartabianca [Carte blanche], conducted by Leo Manfrini, who was a close friend of the writer.

The excursion to the Castle of Avella continues and we see the preserved walls of this historic place. Places such as this are common in Campania, thanks to the numerous civilizations that passed through this region in earlier times.

Antonio is a teacher and we find him at Somma Vesuviana, on the slopes of Vesuvius, near Naples. For some time he has tending a small garden, where he grows vegetables, which he sees as miracles of the earth, with seeds developing into fruits.

Francesco is in the Province of Avellino and talks to us about one of the Campania Region's most important archaeological sites: the Norman Castle of Avella, destroyed and rebuilt numerous times, but well preserved nonetheless.

Raffaele, a producer of extra virgin olive oil from Apulia, tells us about the ancient origins of his olive groves. Many of the trees are centuries old, some are even over a thousand years old, and continue to produce excellent oil.

In this video, Antonio speaks in more detail about Praia's Madonna of the Cave. He shows us the rock where the ship's captain set down the wooden statue in the 14th century and he shows us the room where the statue is now housed.

Antonio tells us about the two islands off Calabria. The Isola di Dino is the larger of the two and he tells us the legend of how the island was named. Isola della Cirella is the other island.

Antonio tells us about the origins of Praia and its appeal to tourists. Praia is a very special and attractive little town, where tourists can do and see many things.

Antonio is on the beach of Praia a Mare, more specifically, on the Lido Costa Blu [Blue Coast Beach]. Right now it's deserted, but in the summertime this place fills up with beach clubs. The entire coast, extending to Marina di Camerota (Camerota Shoreline), offers many different types of beaches: sand, pebble, stones and rocks.

Antonio is in Praia a Mare and talks to us about the cult of the Madonna della Grotta (Madonna of the Cave), patron saint of the city. The cult began in 1900, and every year in August the statue of the Madonna is carried in a procession, where many of the faithful take part.
