Carmen Esposito tells the police everything she knows. Then Lojacono meets with Aragona and Palma at the DA's office to discuss the case.

Lojacono takes his daughter Marinella to Letizia's trattoria and the two women hit it off. Ottavia reports on the victim's phone records.

Lojacono and Di Nardo go to forensics to find out about evidence on the victim's body and clothing. Palma and Piras question Giacomo Scognamiglio, or at least, they try.

Lojacono, Palma, and the DA discuss the interview they had had with Giacomo. When they go back to the apartment building where the crime had been committed, they encounter some of the residents whom they now are acquainted with.

A woman (from the Veneto region) in the building remembered something she thought might be important. The police questioned Teresa's husband again. Palma asks Ottavia for help finding an apartment.

Pisanelli meets up with Mr. Musella and goes home with him. They talk about being widowers. Lojacono is waiting for his daughter to come home. Here is where she was.

Lojacono and Marinella have a frank conversation about the past. Palma talks to his superior about the case, to let him know that the Scognamiglio son is a suspect.

Marco has lunch with his father who thinks he needs a better job and wants to help. Lojacono makes a phone call as a result of his talk with Marinella. At police headquarters, the team is talking about asking Giacomo Scognamiglio to come in again.

Lojacono and Giacomo have what seems like a fruitful conversation and Lojacono relates what he has learned to the team back at police headquarters. That evening, Di Nardo is stuck at home playing cards with her parents.

The team is putting two and two together regarding the phone records. They discover whose cellphone number had been calling Teresa, repeatedly, before she died. Three detectives go and see someone who had clearly lied to them.

Fabio Vassallo tells the police he had been involved with Teresa but insists he didn't kill her. Then his wife comes home with the groceries.

Pietro is asking Ottavia to look at an apartment with him when Ottavia's husband shows up needing a favor. Lojacono has a conversation with Teresa's husband and they clear up some things. Later, Mrs. Vassallo has another meeting with the investigators and the DA.

Lojacono and Laura are discussing the case at the crime scene when they discover someone listening to them. This adds a new element to the investigation. As they are leaving the building, they run into the former door person, Rosetta, who is curious about the case. Back at headquarters, Ottavia does some research and Pisanelli's memory is jogged about an old case.

The photo of the dead girl reminds Lojacono and Aragona of the statuette they had seen in Marino's shop and Lojacono goes there to have a little chat with the man.

Mario tells, in detail, what he did. The DA has a few more questions, but then this chapter of the case comes to a close.
