Imma and Pietro are at a concert of a female saxophone quartet. Calogiuri is studying, but something about the Bruno case comes up.

The team goes to search Capuano's home and then they go to the club to get more information about him. That leads them to a boxing club.

From the phone records, Imma discovers phone calls received by Bruno but the number doesn't seem to exist. Calogiuri indeed gets a phone call from Paolo in Bari.

The team hears about a new homicide that likely is connected to the first one, so they have to go back to square one, more or less. The forensics expert wonders why Di Nardo doesn't answer her text messages.

Lojacono meets his friend Paolo for dinner and they talk about the case in which Lojacono had been falsely accused. The next day, Bukhar is questioned at headquarters.

Imma is furious about what she reads in the paper, but her boss tells her to calm down and wait for the trial. She also has to deal with a new police officer with a strong personality, but who is also quick-witted.

Lojacono and Aragona are able to find Bukhar and question him. Ottavia goes home with some fried rice balls, thinking they will be appreciated, but her husband criticizes her.

Imma assumed that no one had done any work all day, but Diana let her know that the staff had actually done somersaults to get the information Imma required. The next day, Imma talks to the architect's son and learns some interesting facts.

Romano goes home expecting to see Giorgia, but she's not there. Di Nardo has her parents to deal with, but also gets an interesting text while sitting in front of the TV. The next morning, Ramaglia's daughter is trying to identify the person who had argued with her father before his death.

Imma finds out she was right about the "accident" being a homicide and goes with Calogiuri to see the architect's ex-wife and son. Calogiuri gives Imma some news she hadn't heard about.

Lojacono and Di Nardo go to talk to Doctor Martone in Forensics. Di Nardo appears to know quite a bit about weapons. Back at headquarters, Romano and Aragona report to the Chief about what they found out from the prison director.

Imma talks to her old friend, Don Mariano, and he shows her the model of the deceased architect's pet project, never completed. Then, along with Calogiuri, Imma goes to the morgue where she is not welcome. Calogiuri's eye proves to be invaluable.

Lojacono and Aragona go to Ramaglia's house to talk to his wife and daughter. After some questioning, the daughter Rosa remembers someone that might turn out to be important. Later on at headquarters, Aragona has a hard time using appropriate nomenclature for Blacks and people of color as they discuss the case.

Imma is having trouble finding the file on Domenico Bruno. True, it dates from fifteen years previous, but that's no excuse according to Imma. She also attends the commemorative event at Palazzo Lanfranchi, where Bruno's son pays a tribute to his father. Imma's ears perk up.

Francesco is at dinner at the home of Giorgia's parents. He's scontroso (surly) and seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder. Alex Di Nardo has spent the night with someone and needs to get back to Naples in time to start work.
