Ma che ci faccio qui! (What the Hell am I Doing Here?) is the story of 18-year-old Alessio (Daniele De Angelis), who has plans to go around Europe with his friends at the end of his last year of high school, but he fails to graduate and his parents make him stay home. He takes things into his own hands, buys a motorcycle, and sets out to meet up with his friends. Things go sideways, though, and he gets stuck on Lazio's coast doing menial work that does, however, lead to interesting encounters and even romance. Inspired by Bruce Chatwin's book What Am I Doing Here, the film is directed by Francesco Amato.
