Jacopo in this romantic comedy counsels couples for a living, but has a terrible time with his own relationships. Through flashbacks we encounter his previous girlfriends, all of whom meet wildly bad ends. Jacopo holds himself responsible, believing that he's cursed. When he meets Sara he wants her to stay well away from him, no matter how much he loves her.
