Renzo and Camilla have a heated argument after a work dinner that went badly, bringing to the surface tensions and jealousies that put their relationship to the test. Meanwhile, at school, amid subtle romantic hints between colleagues, attention turns to the upcoming assembly.

Inspector Berardi and Camilla discuss the case, but they lose track of time and it gets very late. Phone calls with their significant others ensue. Gaetano is concerned Camilla might end up in the middle of a third murder.

Gaetano and Torre get called to the scene of another murder. Suspecting that the body is that of Quantunque, Gaetano calls Camilla, who has gone to Anna's restaurant to meet someone identifying himself as Quantunque. Anna turns out the lights at the restaurant and Gaetano turns on the siren of the squad car.

Livietta is using a bit of blackmail on her parents to get them to buy her some low-waisted pants. But Camilla and Renzo have their own problems. Renzo has to go to dinner with Roberta's parents, and Camilla gets an urgent phone call from Anna.

Torre and Piccolo arrest Alfredo Brachetti, suspected in the murder of Flora Torrielli. He denies everything and presents an alibi, but the agents remain suspicious and look for connections with other characters.

Camilla encourages Renzo, telling him that he will make an excellent impression with Roberta's parents, who seem very demanding, and confirms her confidence in the quality of the project he will present. Gaetano and Roberta also face doubts and small insecurities, showing the need to receive mutual reassurances.

After the match, Renzo, Camilla, and Gaetano try to encourage sportsmanship between Livietta and Nino. Gaetano introduces Roberta to Renzo, alluding to a possible collaboration between Roberta's parents and Renzo. The tension is palpable.

When Gaetano realizes that the briefcase found by Anna and Camilla has mysteriously disappeared, the commissioner becomes furiously angry. During the investigation, it emerges from Mr. Ventruti that Quantunque knew Flora and was protecting her.

Gaetano and Roberta go through a story made of everyday life and tension, in which arguments and reconciliations follow one another. Meanwhile Camilla discusses with Anna the suspicion that Quantunque might be involved in shady business.

Camilla needs to speak to Anna and phones her, only to find out that Anna had just forced the briefcase open at Quantuque's place. Meanwhile, the investigators interrogate a witness who points to a possible suspect.

Gaetano and Roberta argue heatedly about the wedding preparations and family responsibilities; the argument angers Roberta, who decides to leave. Meanwhile, Camilla asks Gaetano for help and, thanks to a photograph, a young man is connected to the woman found murdered. For this reason, Gaetano wants to speak with Anna to get more information and deepen the investigation.

Camilla finds herself involved in the difficult situation of one of her former students, obsessed with Quantunque, who has mysteriously disappeared and whom she wants to help at any cost. Between enigmatic messages and a photograph that has resurfaced from the past, the investigations proceed amid suspicions and uncertainties, without yet a real breakthrough.

Gaetano notices that Camilla is more serene and she confides in him that Renzo, too, finally seems to have calmed down. However, the peace is shattered when Ventruti reaches the commissioner to get confirmation about the identity of the woman found dead. Devastated, the man lets all his pain emerge and reveals details that could prove crucial for the investigation.
