Matteo tells us how fundamental it is to know the entire score, not just one's own part, in order to best interpret a piece. For him, music is above all education in listening: to the composer, to other musicians, and to oneself. Playing together thus becomes an experience of growth and mutual care, even before it becomes artistic.

When Franca comes home after her day on set, she finds Mimmo asleep on the couch surrounded by sheets of music paper. She has some news for him. He goes to Milan to meet with Gramitto who has always been skeptical about the new song ever taking off.

Mimmo doesn't want to have to change the lyrics of his latest song. Riccardo and Franco try to pressure him to do it, for the money. Franco is out of work, and Mimmo wants to help him.

Mimmo is very happy to be back in Italy, and with Franca. His next task is to audition for Gramitto in Milan.
