The "Ninna nanna del chicco di caffè" [Coffee Bean Lullaby] was first performed at a musical festival devoted children's songs, the Zecchino d'Oro, in 1970. It is still sung today by many Italian mothers to lull their babies to sleep.

Laura Sini, a finalist at the 2011 edition of Videofestival Live, sings about having to leave her native Sardinia in order to further her music career. This video was kindly provided by pa74music.

“La linea sottile” [The subtle line] is a song from Ligabue’s album “Arrivederci, mostro” [Goodbye monster], one of the most popular albums from 2010.

Champions is a young band from Ascoli. This group has been chosen to participate in the Festival di Sanremo in 2012.

Tiromancino is a famous pop band from Rome, and this is a song from their self-titled album. Federico Zampaglione, the lead singer, vocalizes about remorse and how it’s best avoided.

"Stella Stellina" [Star, little star) is a lullaby which repeats the names of farm animals and lulls children to sleep.

Eleanora explains how tambourines are made and plays a few notes from the Pizzica and Tarantella dances. The Pizzica was used in the past for exorcising the possessed.

The song “L’inquietudine di esistere” [The anxiety of existing] is a new song by the group Tiromancino. The lyrics were written by Fabrizio Tarducci and Federico Zampaglione. Zampaglione also wrote the music.

Africa Unite performs the song "Sotto Pelle" (Under the skin). The group is one of the most important reggae bands on the Italian musical scene.

"Baciami ancora" (Kiss Me Again) by Jovanotti, is the main song on the soundtrack of the 2010 film of the same title, directed by Gabriele Muccino. The song won the David di Donatello award in 2010 as best original song.

Pupia TV – The Neapolitan singer Eugenio Bennato sings “Il Mondo Corre” [The World Runs] at a live concert in Catania.

Africa Unite performs "Andare" (Go). The song is directed to someone who's free, who keeps going and never gives up, never stops.

Giuditta sings a song about a beautiful turtle. The song tells about how the turtle ended up being such a slow animal.

“Non c’è tempo” (There’s no time) is a song by Capitolo Zero about getting back all the love there had been. pa74music

Ricarda, a young Apulian singer, sings a love song written by Carlo Palmas. The song involves plucking the petals of a flower.

Giorgia performs the song "Gocce di memoria" [Drops of Memory]. The artist wrote the lyrics to music by Andrea Guerra. It was featured in the 2003 film "Facing Windows" by the director Ferzan Ozpetek.

"È l'amore che conta" [It's Love that Counts] is Giorgia's second single. Venice is the backdrop for the video.

Francesco Renga's love song "Angelo" won the 2005 edition of the highly prestigious Festival di San Remo, then in its 55th year.
