In seguito alla campagna di ricerca storica e di restauro, si è scoperto che la Resurrezione non è stata dipinta sulla parete su cui adesso la vediamo, ma fu trasportata da un'altra sede. Probabilmente si tratta della facciata esterna del palazzo, sotto l'arengario di Borgo Sansepolcro.
