A strange anonymous letter arrives at the police station, immediately leading to thoughts of the first suspect, who is summoned right away.

Pisanelli has a health issue while keeping watch over Musella, but is rescued by his "guardian angel," who was in the vicinity. When Giuseppe asks Laura to have a pizza together, she says she's exhausted.

At Letizia's restaurant, Lojacono finds her to be a bit distant. When she explains why, he remains perplexed, but she reassures him that she won't tell anyone. At the hospital the doctor advises Pisanelli to stay under observation for a couple of days. He is not happy about it.

After searching the parish, there's now a warrant for the rectory. Don Michele seems calm when a gift signed by Angela is found. In reality, that's not the gift that deserves attention. He mentions another gift she had given him.

Brother Leonardo goes to visit Musella who is having trouble managing. He is losing his eyesight but claims that his life is over for another reason. Lojacono cannot sleep and goes for a walk.

Lojacono and Don Michele discover they have things in common and begin addressing each other informally. Giuseppe asks Michele who else has the keys to the church and thus develops a theory of the case.

From the moment Lojacono learned that Don Michele wasn't the only one with the church keys, he wanted to speak with the three volunteers who had them. The young people are unsure about the exact time they left the church on the evening of Angela's death.

The news reports that Musella jumped from the window and died. Pisanelli, still in the hospital, tells Father Leonardo about the news and says he feels guilty.

Marzio tells how things went with Angela and how he had learned about her past in Caserta from a friend of his. However, things took a bad turn when Angela didn't want to kiss him.

In the end, Marzio tells how things went and why he acted the way he did. The commissioner offers his congratulations to Lojacono via Laura.

Aragona finds the courage to tell Irina that he actually hadn't seen the movie, hoping they could go to the cinema together, but he's a little too late. Lojacono stops by to visit Don Michele and then goes out to dinner with Laura.

Laura and Giuseppe are at the restaurant when Laura notices that one of her colleagues is there with a woman who is not his wife. Laura insists on leaving the restaurant, but once back home, they have an argument.

A group of school kids visits a museum of trains. Pisanelli, after being discharged from the hospital, goes to the pharmacy to get the medicine prescribed by the doctor.

The atmosphere at the police station is gloomy as the end of the year approaches and the closure of Pizzofalcone is imminent. Lojacono and Di Nardo are out investigating a theft case in an apartment.

Lojacono and Di Nardo gather information from the couple who were robbed. When they leave the apartment, they agree that there are some strange things. At the police station, Aragona goes to talk to Romano.
