Camilla discovers that a man, who introduced himself under the false name of "Giuseppe Verdi", is actually the heir of a murder victim. Convinced that he may be involved in the crime and worried because Anna has gone out to dinner with him, she tries to track her down before it is too late.

Lojacono is not at all convinced that Varricchio killed his own children, especially after talking to him. Pisanelli got some bad news about another retiree having taken his own life. Pisanelli had been watching over the wrong home.

They discover the gun belonged to Francesca. Debbie talks to the class, and Camilla gleans a spark of information that might prove useful. Gaetano goes to talk to Camilla and she gives him a good talking too.

An evening at home: baked lasagna and some casual sparring about Livietta's substitute dance teacher. Finally, Gaetano and Camilla talk by phone and she is able to tell him her hypothesis.
