We begin a new episode involving Vinicio, the produce vendor at the market and his daughter, Ilaria. Before watching the video, you might check out this lesson, which can help explain the play on words Eva uses with Dante.

At the restaurant, Ilaria tells Eva why she was arguing with Adolfo and the "gang" shows up for support. Dante has some interesting plans for the following day, involving Eva, but when she gets home, she has some worrisome mail, and finds Lorenzo in a sorry state.

As we might have guessed, the twosome Dante was counting on has become a threesome with the addition of Lorenzo who needs some TLC. Not everyone has a good time. Later, Eva goes to the hospital to visit Vinicio.

Eva discovers that Gina knows all too well who Professor Mazzotta, the examination commissioner is. Lorenzo is trying to figure out how to win back Malù.

We learn more about how Adolfo is going to go about winning the competitive exam for the scholarship to work in Colorado. At the restaurant, there are some flowers for Eva.

Eva is busy trying to give support to her son, who really needs it, giving support to Ilaria and her father, and obtaining some items for when she and the girls will attempt to confound Adolfo Gargani's plans.

Lorenzo takes Dante's suggestion for trying to win back Malù. Gina tries on the uniform. Dante and Eva get a few moments alone.

The girls are all in their places ready to move in on Gargani. There is a bump in the road, however, and Eva has to think up a plan B on the spot.

Each of the girls plays her part perfectly and after a healthy fine, they send Gargani on his way to the exam.

Gargani is in for a surprise at the exam. Ilaria gets an anonymous donation for her hospital in Mogadishu.

Eva reads the message, which, of course is from Max. She has no choice but to meet up with him. Her life just got even more complicated than it was already!

After what Dante saw, he has questions. Eva can't provide answers. The tension can be cut with a knife!

After telling Gina why she was so upset, Eva remembers what they had on their schedule for the morning. A trip to a casa famiglia, a group home for disadvantaged or disabled people, often kids with no family support.

Eva has no choice but to meet up with Max. Her state of mind as she cycles through the narrow streets to the meeting might be described in Italian with the Italian adverb malincuore (with a heavy heart). Luckily she is not alone to face this challenge.

Max explains some details of the heist he's planning, and Eva knows all the right questions to ask. Later, Eva discovers some curious "coincidences."
