Giulio shows up early to the house to find out how things went between Lele and Irene. Lele gets teased by just about everyone about his "wild night." At the clinic, the woman who had accused Mariano of molesting her shows up again. This time it is Lele who has to deal with her.

Lele gets a surprise visit at work. Later, he discusses it with Alice. Mariano comes back to work with some baccalà, a sort of salted codfish that lots of people love, but lots of people hate.

Ciccio and Libero are watching TV when Alberto comes to ask about his tee shirt, and the doorbell rings. It's someone about the dog. Lele goes to Irene's place to talk to her.

It's dinner time in the Martini household. Ciccio is finishing his homework, Alberto is going to play soccer with some friends, Maria apologizes to her father, and Giulio shows up to make trouble, as usual.

We discover what the emergency was that brought Orazio home in a rush. They go to a pranotherapist for some help with a problem they are having.

The pranotherapist assumes Anna is the one in need of therapy. After clarifying, she tries to tell the pranotherapist how to do his job.

After Anna and Orazio visit the fertility seat in Naples, they decide to stop in a bar for a cup of coffee.

The next step is to go to the cemetery. Anna is being her bossy self, and Orazio is trying to resist.

The guardians are pretty engrossed in their card game, but they hear voices and call headquarters. Orazio is rather scared.

The police question Orazio and naturally, the pig's foot is at the center of attention.

Orazio had a bad night, and now he is having a bad day, from problems at the office to a strange visit to the doctor with Anna, to a postponed dinner date with a friend.

Orazio confides in his psychiatrist friend and confesses to his present feelings about his wife and women in general. They stop off to see a patient of Giovanni's.

Giovanni's patient is a bit off-balance and Orazio is very uncomfortable in her presence. His doctor's visit isn't much better.

Orazio has a conversation with his doctor and Anna has a conversation with her friend. Both Anna and Orazio are frustrated but don't know what to do.
