Still on the beach, Pasolini asks more people their opinions on divorce, which became legal in 1970. The second part of this segment is part of a 1969 episode of Processo alla tappa, a TV talk show devoted to the Giro d'Italia (the Tour of Italy), a famous, 21-stage bike race.

Pasolini explains the difficulty of framing a city through the lens, only for it to be ruined by modern buildings that seem to have nothing to do with the form of the city itself. He wants anonymous, simple poetry to be preserved just like the works of Dante and Petrarca.

Pasolini talks about the gates to the city of Orte. They may be simple, and built by unnamed men, but that doesn't mean they don't have value to protect. He moves on to talk about Sabaudia, a city built by the fascist regime, on reclaimed marshland, roughly halfway between Rome and Naples.

Pier Paolo Pasolini discusses the effects Fascism had on Italy. He talks about the city of Sabaudia, built by the fascist government on the reclaimed marshland of the ancient Pontine Marshes (Agro Pontino) and how later, what took hold was the culture of consumerism.

As the credits role in this final segment, we hear a song written and performed by Fabrizio De André (together with Massimo Bubola. Una storia sbagliata (a story all wrong) was commissioned for a 1980 TV show about Pasolini's death, called Dietro il processo (behind the trial). Signor Venturi is enjoying some intimate time with a lady when the police show up with a search warrant.

Signor Venturi is taken to il Nido (the Nest). Although he is glad to see a familiar face upon arrival, he is not quite ready for what awaits him.

Nicoletta shows Michele around but he is less than impressed. His attitude and reputation aren't going to be much help to him when they vote him in or out that evening. Michele's lawyer comes to see him.

Michele goes to see his daughter in her quarters. He then goes around trying to assure some positive votes for the evening assembly.

Unexpectedly, just about everyone shows up for the assembly, where there is to be a vote to Michele as part of the group or not.

The assembly takes place and everyone votes. Then there are discussions about other matters. Michele goes back to his room where he gets a visit.

Over breakfast, Riccardo and Eleonora discuss some environmental test results they are expecting, but are interrupted by Chiara and have to fudge. They also get some other worrisome news from Nicoletta.

Martina and Giovanni invite Chiara to stay strong, and it seems it regards her father. Michele is trying to relax when Iolde shows up with her water and vinegar drink.

Michele is making nice with Eleonora because he needs a favor. She knows him all too well and says no. Chiara is talking to her friend Valentina about her father's experience in prison.

Michele has breakfast in the communal kitchen and strikes up a conversation with Lapo. Eleonora has a chat with JJ in his office, but gets interrupted by a phone call she has to deal with.
