Adriano has invited us to the baptism of his son Philip. It allows us to get a glimpse of one of the most beautiful places to visit in Palermo, the Palatine Chapel. The priest tells the congregation about the consecration of this famous basilica in 1040.

Carlo provides the contestants with a set of four dates and they have to link important events to the dates. Carlo spends a fair bit of time making funny sounds.

Rossella, a new contestant, is presented with list of animals and she has to respond whether they're carnivores or herbivores.

Valerio is the new contestant. Carlo provides him with a list of countries and he has to reply whether they're republics or monarchies.

Carlo provides Francesco with the names of tools and Francesco has to supply the name of the profession where the tool is used. Lara gets the same question format, but has to answer whether celebrities are over or under 1.7 meters (about 5'-6").

Carlo asks Massimiliano to name the stars for a list of films and Francesco, a new contestant, is introduced.

Carlo introduces us to his teacher assistants, and as its Christmastime, they're wearing Santa-inspired costumes. Alessandra and Massimiliano are the two contestants.

The narrator goes over the vanishingly small number of expressions coined during Mussolini's time that are still in use today. The song that gives the series its name is provided in full.

Schools in fascist Italy banned the study of dialects and moved to using standardized textbooks. The fascist hymn “Viva Adua nostra” refers to a battle won by the Kingdom of Italy in 1896 near Adwa, Ethiopia.

Soon after the introduction of talkies, dubbing came about in the thirties. Dubbing was extremely popular in Italy and remains so today.

Nicola, a policeman, provides an overview of the Italian armed forces. He also explains the differences between the Carabinieri and the State Police, and details other enforcement agencies active in Italy.

The nineteen twenties ushered in sound in cinema. Italy's L.U.C.E. [L'Unione Cinematografica Educativa or Educational Film Union] was founded in 1924 and generated the fascist regime's cinematic propaganda.

Sara, an attractive girl from the province of Perugia, is up next. In the pairing game, she has to determine whether a traditional dish is cooked or raw.

Francescopaolo, the contestant, is presented with a long list of Italian winners of either a Nobel Prize or an Academy Award Oscar, and has to choose which prize they were awarded.

L'Eredità [Inheritance] is an immensely popular daily quiz show on the RAI [pronounced rye], the Italian public TV and radio network. This episode benefits the Telethon Foundation, which provides funds for research into genetic diseases, and is based on Jerry Lewis's Telethon. In World War I, Italians who up until then had spoken their regional dialects, found themselves fighting side by side against a common enemy. But Mussolini was interested in fighting the internal enemy.

The documentary comes to a close with an interview regarding a prison cell used during the Inquisition. The cell bears the graffiti of its inmates. Pitrè had laboriously uncovered the graffiti, but it was only rediscovered in the 1970s by the writer Leonardo Sciascia and the interviewee in this segment, Giuseppe Quatriglio, who used Pitrè's writing to find it.
