Paolo has to gather all his wits to figure out what's happening in the company. He confronts Salmastri, but Salmastri is truly slippery, and not to be underestimated.

Luca's charm works like a charm and he's able to obtain the information he needs from the woman in the motorcycle shop.

Our professoressa finds herself involved in trying to solve the case. She seems to be enjoying it, too.

Luca confides in Toscani who is, however, not very encouraging on the subject of marriage. Lara calls with some information, and Luca goes back to question Lupo.

There's a strike going on in the factory, and some dirty dealings going on, too. Meanwhile Paolo, with Natoli's expert help, is doing what he can to figure things out.

Rubino and Sardi go to question Elena, Gabriele's ex-girlfriend, while Manara questions Elena's current boyfriend.

The sad occasion of a funeral is also a good place to observe the people who attend.

Lara and Luca have been skirting the marriage issue, but they do finally talk about it, albeit briefly. Meanwhile, they get some new information about the case.

Paolo clearly cares more about Natoli than his car, Manuela thinks Paolo is like the other bosses, and Natoli is becoming resigned to going back to his country. It's a mess.

Toscani, Lara, and Luca are working on the case, but Toscani is clearly distracted. Luca tries to get some information from Gabriele's rival.

Ada provides Luca with some welcome company, food, and gossip. Ginevra communicates the cause of death, while Luca and Lara toss around a couple of different possible hypotheses surrounding the motorcyclist.

The centerpiece of this segment is dinner. Pasta. In Italian, spaghetti is the plural of spaghetto (a strand of spaghetti), and Italians like their pasta al dente which literally means "to the tooth." In other words, it should be cooked just enough to be bitten, therefore firm, not hard, but by all means not soft.

Manuela gets to the document before Paolo does, and reacts. This starts quite a chain reaction involving Natoli, the workers at the factory, and Paolo who ends up on Manuela's bicycle.

Luca and Lara are doing the best they can to work on the case despite their inner turmoil. Luca's sister wants to help him, but there's a limit to what she can do.
